Connecting to Wireless

  1. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, click into the area with the Wi-Fi symbol (if it isn't enabled, you'll see an outline without an available signal inside).
  2. Click "Not connected" — you'll see the Wi-Fi button turn on and it will automatically search for local networks.


    Click on "Not Connected" to search for Wi-Fi networks.
  3. If you've already established a local Wi-Fi connection, it should automatically connect. Otherwise, select one from the available list and enter the password, or click the Wi-Fi button with the plus sign (next to the place where you would toggle the Wi-Fi on or off) to join another network.

Connecting to free Xfinity Hotspot

Comcast is offering FREE ACCESS to their network of Wi-Fi Hotspots throughout Delaware. It can be challenging to connect for the first time, but once connected you will have access to FREE Internet all over Delaware. The website link below has an interactive map that shows the locations of the Comcast hotspots. Click on the interactive map and enter your zip code to locate a Wi-Fi hotspot close by to you.


  1. Click on the Wi-Fi signal on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Click the Wi-Fi signal again. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will pop up automatically. Look on the list for the xfinitywifi network. Click on xfinitywifi to join the network.


  2. Once you connect to xfinitywifi a screen will automatically popup on the Chromebook. Click on the ACCEPT AND CONNECT button. You may need to scroll the screen up to see the button.


IMPORTANT: If you see the screen below then you cannot setup your connection at that location. You will need to find another location where you can connect. Delaware has many hotspots that will allow you to make the initial connection. Once connected you can use the Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots throughout Delaware without having to login.
